BTL Invades The City To Make An Impact

Tony A. Stewart - Tuesday, August 07, 2012

BEYOND THE LOCKER partnered with SF City Impact along with 25 other outreaches to impact the Tenderloin District of San Francisco on Saturday August 4th and Sunday August 5th.  It is the second year in a row that BTL has been involved with the SF City Impact Conference and the impact could be felt by the youth and the city alike.

Beyond The Locker came to spread Love and Hope to one of San Francisco's most at-risk areas for youth.  The Beyond The Locker Mini Camp theme was "G. I. V. E. it all You Got". Volunteers from all over California and parts of Oregon joined the BTL Team to help the youth better understand their self worth, teach them life skills through sports and show them the importance of giving back to the community.

BTL would like to thank all of its volunteers, veteran and rookie, for making the BTL "I Got Skills" Mini Camps a success.  We would also like to thank the Grinstead Family Foundation, Fremont Bank Foundation, Annie's Homegrown and SF City Impact for their donations and support.  We are continually looking for donations and support.  If you are interested in being a Beyond the Locker Teammate, please email us at for more information on how you can donate your time or resources.
